Installation Guide

Architex’s DIY Static Shade System Kit is designed to provide shade protection for Sheep & Cattle Feedlots, Pig Pens, Poultry and more.

Components Required:

• 1 x Architex DIY Shade Kit
• 4 x Steel Posts 200mm Dia x 5mm
• 2m2 of Concrete
• 600mm Post Hole Borer
• Welder

1. Purchase a Architex DIY Static Shade System Kit. Package includes:
   • Shade Sail 276gsm Cloth Knitted Monofilament UV Treated 80-90% Shade
   • Colour: Black
   • Tensioning Kit for securing to posts
2. Decide the best position to install the shade and bore 4 holes (600mm Dia x 1500mm deep) with the required spacing (depending on your kit size).
3. Weld the tensioning kits to the top of the posts.
4. Concrete 200mm steel posts in place with slight outwards tilt.
5. Ensure two diagonal posts are at least 1m lower than the other two posts to create a twist in the fabric for water runoff.
6. Attach the shade cloth and tension until tight.

The 10m x 10m system provides approx 64m2 of shade, suitable for up to 120 sheep.

The 15m x 10m system provides approx 104m2 of shade, suitable for up to 200 sheep.

The 10m x 6m system provides approx 32m2 of shade, suitable for up to 60 sheep.

Recommended feedlot pen shade:

• Sheep: >0.5m2 per head
• Cattle: >2m2 per head
